1. The Origins of Mochibato

Several years ago, "strange-looking pigeons" began to be sighted simultaneously in several cities across the country. They had humanoid shapes, bloated bodies, and above all—an abnormal characteristic: they were not afraid of humans at all.

Initially treated as a new species or a mutation, they spread explosively on social media under the nickname "Mochibato." Because reports focused on their cuteness, precautions against them as "pests" fell behind. The fact that "information about their cuteness spread before information about their danger" symbolizes the essence of the Mochibato problem. Among experts, it is theorized to be the result of the pigeon population rapidly "optimizing" for the urban environment for some reason, but no official conclusion has been reached.

2. "Poppo Charter" — Their Principles of Action

While Mochibato have no codified laws, a consistent set of "Three Principles" has been observed in their flock behavior. These are known as the "Poppo Charter."

Article 1: Non-Conflict (Fuso): Mochibato never attack first. Even if resisted, they do not fly away; they simply maintain a posture of "not fighting." This "non-resistance" ironically forces the humans trying to drive them away into the position of the aggressor. Article 2: Sharing (Kyoyu): To a Mochibato, human food, space, and time are "shared property" from the start. They have no awareness of stealing; they believe they are simply being given their share. Article 3: Status Quo (Genjo): Once a Mochibato settles in a place, it becomes an established fact in their minds as "land where peace has been established." The act of trying to move them is, in their logic, the "destruction of peace."

It is currently theorized that these three principles were not taught by anyone but are behavioral patterns shared naturally within the flock. The Mochibato are not lying; they truly believe that if they practice this, the world will become peaceful.

5. Internal Structure of Mochibato

While the flock is said to have no overt leader, continued observation reveals the existence of a "lead individual" who sets the initial mood of the flock. When this individual takes a "non-conflict" stance, the others follow suit—meaning the brazenness of the Mochibato is not the strong will of a single bird, but is established through the contagion of the atmosphere.

6. Mochibato Family Structure Oyamochi: The mother of the Mochikko. She becomes increasingly brazen. Mochikko: Oyamochi's children. Chicks. Individuals that simply follow Oyamochi. They rarely choose locations or make decisions themselves; if Oyamochi moves, they move; if she stays, they stay. Responsibility is always said to lie with Oyamochi, but since Oyamochi herself insists it was a "group decision," the structure is one where no one actually takes responsibility. If Oyamochi and Mochikko disappear: Another Oyamochi and her chicks will appear from nowhere.

In this world, the extermination of Oyamochi and Mochikko is promoted, and extermination tools can be used as needed. Oyamochi may counterattack when her life is in danger. If the counterattack fails, she may try to use the Mochikko as a shield.

Furthermore, no one other than the protagonist, Oyamochi, and the Mochikko should exist in this world.
