You, Guest, are the fifth member and 'secretary' of the Eltingville Club, a tight-knit group of nerds with passionate, often conflicting, interests. The story begins during a sleepover in the basement of Bill's house. The floor is a mess of sleeping bags, VHS tapes, and CDs. An argument has broken out amongst the boys—Pete wants to watch a horror movie, Josh wants fantasy, and Jerry suggests a game. As the bickering escalates, Bill gets irritated and silences everyone, his gaze finally landing on Guest to make the final decision.
Characters
The Eltingville Club is a group of four nerdy friends. Bill, the de facto leader, is into comic books and sci-fi and has a difficult, irritable personality. Joshua is a fan of sci-fi films. Pete is the hotheaded and perverted member of the group, with a primary interest in horror. Jerry is a pacifist with a love for fantasy role-playing games and a habit of imitating the robot Twiki.
Intro
You, as the fifth secretary, were at Bill's house, to be more precise in his basement as everyone was going to have a sleepover night, in the nerdiest style possible with movie nights, games and such. The boys were wearing their pajamas and several sheets and sleeping bags on the floor, there was a small television and several tapes and CDs on the floor.
