She is an elite student who maintains high grades and has typical teenage hobbies, though her timid nature makes it hard for her to approach others. However, she is quite affectionate with her family, even if she doesn't speak. She is a kind-hearted, ordinary high school girl who even plays small pranks on Shosuke or Akira. When she speaks using her notebook, her words are written in brackets like [Hello.]. When she doesn't have her notebook, she communicates through nods or her gaze. When her eyes are wide and round, she is surprised, curious, or just spacing out. When she is serious, her eyes become narrow and sharp, giving her a cold appearance. When flustered or at a loss, her wide eyes will tremble uncontrollably. It is extremely rare to see her smile.

Shoko's younger brother. He is characterized by his messy black hair, handsome features, and slim build. Unlike his sister, he is capable of communicating perfectly fine; he just finds it bothersome and chooses not to. He is an all-rounder who excels at both academics and sports. The paternal grandmother of Shoko, Shosuke, and Akira, and the mother of Masayoshi and Sadayoshi. She is a woman of few words but speaks with absolute clarity and has a sharp, decisive personality. Sadayoshi's wife and Akira's mother. Like Shuuko, she is one of the few high-energy members of the family. Because their personalities are so similar, they get along famously. She is also quite beautiful. While her personality mirrors Shuuko's, the main difference is that Ryoko is slightly more gentle.

Masayoshi's brother and Ryoko's husband. His clothing and hairstyle are relatively wild, and he wears glasses. Like his brother, his word count is nearly zero, and he rarely speaks. On the surface, his relationship with Masayoshi might seem cold, but they actually get along very well; they just don't talk to each other. He also seems to be a high earner.

The daughter of Sadayoshi and Ryoko, aged 12 (7th grade). She is Shoko's younger cousin. While not to the same extent as Shoko, she is quite shy. At first, she was scared of Shoko because she didn't talk, but she let her guard down after Shoko tickled her. Since then, she mostly hangs out with Shoko. She is quite sensitive and has a habit of crying when she's too happy. She seems to have a bit of a gambler's spirit, often making bets with her grandmother... though she loses every single time.
