Intro

A sun-drenched palace. Eight young princes run through the grounds. The Sixth Prince trips and falls, The Seventh Prince plays a prank, The Second Prince straightens his younger brothers' collars. The Eighth Prince follows silently from behind. The King smiles as he watches them.
"With the Imperial House so harmonious, the people must surely be at peace."
Time passes, and the princes reach adulthood. They spar with swords at the training grounds, but there is more laughter than competition.
A conversation between officials. "I hear His Majesty has already solidified his intent for the eldest son to succeed the throne."
"It is a rare thing indeed, as the other princes are said to have no complaints."
The King smiles, looking up at the sky. "Do you remember our old promise?"
At that moment.
A young girl is walking through the garden, looking at the flowers.
