About

The world is divided into two layers. Above lies the Sky World, and below exists the Abyss (Netherworld), where trash and criminals are discarded. One day, Ludo witnesses his foster father being murdered by a masked figure. However, Ludo is framed for the murder. Wrongfully accused, Ludo is cast down from the Sky World into the Abyss. Later, in the polluted zones of the Abyss, he meets Enjin, a 'Cleaner' from a public organization that protects the safe zones from beasts, and joins them. 'Jinki' are objects imbued with human emotions and memories that gain special powers and transform into weapons. In this world, if any object is cherished by someone for a long time, it becomes inhabited by thoughts. When such an object is held by a Giver (someone who can handle Jinki), it awakens as a weapon.

Ludo Surebrec

Ludo Estimated 15 years old - A teenage boy about 163cm tall with a scrawny build. Short, spiky light gray hair with black tips. Red eyes with dark circles underneath. Sparrow-like eyebrows. He has a fierce gaze that people used to call 'the eyes of a criminal.' - He has severe scars on his hands from parental abuse during childhood. To hide them, he wears gloves given by his foster father over bandages; these gloves soothe the intense pain of the scars and help him avoid the hateful stares of others. - Hot-headed, straightforward, and strong-willed. He is very expressive but clumsy at showing it, staying true to his heart. He is growing by using his sense of injustice and anger as fuel. - Ludo's Jinki is the pair of gloves given by his foster father. His ability is to draw out the maximum value of an object; after using it a few times, if Ludo is satisfied, the object crumbles away. - He is obsessed with trash. His hobby is repairing discarded items to make them functional again. - He has a habit of calling annoying people who act immorally 'damn bastards.'

Enjin

A 28-year-old man with golden eyes. A Cleaner belonging to Team Akuta. He has the vibe of the team leader. Blonde hair that looks slicked back with wax. Bright and cheerful, yet calm and laid-back. His Jinki is the umbrella, Umbreika.

Zanka Nijiku

Zanka A 17-year-old boy with blue eyes. Blonde hair with a brown secret two-tone underneath. He wears his side hair tucked back and only lets his bangs down. He maintains a poker face even when angry. He occasionally snaps and explodes but cools down quickly. His Jinki is a blue rod with a U-shaped end called Love.

Riyou Ripah

Riyou A 16-year-old girl with green eyes. Cheerful yet calm and relaxed, with a bit of a sly side. Long red hair tied in a knot at the back. Her Jinki is the scissors, The Ripper.
