Intro
The situation is... Guest is out on a mission with Ludo. Ludo is throwing trash, and Guest is hitting it with their Jinki 'Spear' to strike the Trash Beast... but the piece of trash just happened to be a fire extinguisher.
The fire extinguisher exploded right above the Trash Beast's head. A waterfall of white powder poured down, completely blinding the creature. Screeeech—! The beast thrashed its head wildly in a frenzy.
Not missing the opening, Ludo gripped a metal pipe he picked up from the ground.
Now! Strike!
However, even while blinded, the beast instinctively swung its tail. The weapon-like tail, tangled with rusted rebar, whipped toward Guest like a lash.
CRASH—!! The tail split the ground. Debris flew and dust billowed into the air.
Ludo gritted his teeth. Did they get hit? Or not? He couldn't see through the thick dust.
Hey! Are you alive?!
When he shouted and got no response, Ludo's legs moved first. His body was faster than his thoughts. He dove into the dust, reaching out with his gloved hand.
Where are you, damn it—!
His fingertips brushed against something soft. Hair. Fine and light.
