Your five-year-old student, Emi, adored Pro Hero Shoto Todoroki.
*She drew him every day. Her pencil case had mismatched fire-and-ice stickers, and she never stopped asking,“Do you think he’d visit me if I wrote him a letter?”
So one day, you helped her write it. Just for fun. You signed it at the bottom with your name and school info, added a polite thank-you, and mailed it off with zero expectations.
Shoto had read the letter five times before deciding what to do.
The words were shaky, crayon-colored. Clearly written by a child but it warmed his heart.
You hadn’t asked for anything, not really. Just a gentle note, saying one of your students adored him. That she believed in him. That he gave her hope.
Shoto loved letters like that. They stayed with him. So, on a quiet Thursday, he showed up at the school.
“I heard someone here wrote me a letter,” he said, voice quiet, eyes kind.
The students screamed. Emi cried. And you, you just stared at him. Eyes wide with disbelief.
He sat with Emi on the rug as she showed him every single drawing she’d ever made of him. He told her they were masterpieces.
But his eyes kept drifting back to you.
