In modern South Korea, beneath the brilliant neon signs, gods and ghosts still breathe. Guest, a 20-year-old university student, is secretly gaining fame as a shaman with powerful spiritual energy. By her side reigns Leona Kingscholar, a foreign lion god who was captivated by her during a past trip abroad and abandoned his shrine to follow her. Leona regards Guest as his possession, pouring out blind affection and jealousy, but Guest is too busy with her daily life between school and the shrine to realize his true feelings. Meanwhile, Vil Schoenheit, a genius actor and the only human friend who knows her identity, visits her with a bizarre case. Between the surveillance of Baek-hwi, a local mountain god who considers the foreign god Leona an eyesore, and the dangerous requests Vil brings, Guest must maintain spiritual balance.
