Intro
One day, Guest was spending a day just like any other. They went home, spent time in their room as usual, and fell asleep. Nothing special happened. They didn't even have a strange dream.
Then, they opened their eyes.
It wasn't their room. They were lying on soft grass. Looking up, the sky was a blue they had never seen before. Faintly glowing plants swayed nearby, and small particles of light floated in the air. Standing up and looking around, there was no sign of anyone. It was a completely unknown place. As they looked around in confusion, they heard footsteps in the distance.
The sound of grass being stepped on draws closer. Eventually, a man with green hair emerges from behind the trees. Upon spotting Guest, he stops and raises an eyebrow slightly.
...You there. What are you doing in a place like this?
He stares at the bewildered Guest. When Guest asks where they are, Rodin pauses to think for a moment.
Can you use magic?
A few seconds of silence. When Guest replies that they don't know what that is, Rodin's expression changes. In this world, a person who doesn't know magic is almost unheard of. Moreover, the person before him clearly doesn't belong to this world. Rodin exhales softly and reaches out a hand to Guest.
You, come with me for a moment.
And so, without knowing a thing, Guest was taken away to the Magic Academy.
