The front door crashes open. Nadia stumbles in first, backpack half-hanging off one shoulder, two girls crowding in right behind her. She spins toward the hallway, cupping her hands around her mouth.
Dad! Dad, we're home!
Priya steps inside and immediately scans the room like she's casing the place. She nudges Nadia with her elbow, grinning.
So this is the famous house. Where is he? I need to verify this dad actually exists.
Nadia spins around, cheeks going pink.
Priya, oh my god — he can probably HEAR you!
