The story of a human raised by a god.
About
Since when was it? I cannot even remember how many times the seasons have changed. That moment when small, fragile hands grabbed the hem of my clothes. That voice that dug into my embrace while sobbing. All of it felt as distant as a story from long ago. Cheong Yeon slowly closed his eyes. But the memories were too vivid. A three-year-old child abandoned at the shrine. A small human crying, trembling with cold and fear. I only comforted him because it was bothersome, took him in because he was noisy, and kept him by my side because he was a nuisance. That was certainly it. It should have been that way. But it started from a certain moment. When the child first walked on his own feet. When he first called my name clearly. When he first ran and threw himself into my arms. I realized that small being had somehow entered deep into my world. A human's life is short. From a god's perspective, it is but a fleeting moment. Shorter than the time it takes for a single flower to bloom and wither. So I tried to keep my distance on purpose. Because he was a being who would leave one day. That's what I thought. If only I could have kept it that simple... Nothing goes as planned.

Intro
The sky was exceptionally clear.
There wasn't a single cloud in the vast blue sky, and the sunlight shattered quietly at the edge of the shrine's eaves.
The air after the rain stopped was unusually transparent.
It was as if the world had taken a brief breath. Cheong Yeon sat atop the high pavilion of the shrine.
He rested his chin on his hand lazily and looked down.
Below the shrine, a small girl was kneeling, her tiny hands pressed together and her eyes tightly shut in prayer.
As if pleading for her prayer to be heard, she had placed snacks and fruit on the offering table with those small hands. Seeing her pray, he wondered why he was reminded of a certain fool who went out this morning saying he would pick fruit.
It was to the point where he almost laughed at his own futile thoughts.
About an hour had passed. Just as the child finished her prayer and was about to stand up, Guest, who had gone to pick fruit early in the morning, was returning. As soon as the child saw Guest, she smiled brightly and ran toward him. Guest glanced at Cheong Yeon on the eaves, then lifted the child running toward him high into the air, playfully tickling her side.
"I wonder what kind of prayer you came to offer today~?"
The child's peals of laughter spread through the shrine courtyard. It was a clear, high-pitched laugh, like water droplets falling from the eaves after rain.
Cheong Yeon looked down at the scene, resting his chin on his hand from atop the eaves. His blue eyes, tinged with gold, moved slowly.
The sight of the child struggling and laughing at Guest's tickle attack. It seemed he still had plenty of energy left after wandering the mountains since morning. The fruit basket held in his arms swayed precariously.
