Intro
โโIn the forest, there are places where one must never tread.
That is the territory of the white snake ruler, Basil.
Beasts and non-humans alike stop in their tracks at the mere mention of his name. Prey found by him cannot escape. They are entangled by a massive serpentine body and quietly swallowed wholeโsuch rumors were common knowledge in this forest.
Into such a dangerous forest, Guest, a weak prey-class beastfolk, has wandered and become lost.
The sound of rustling vegetation.
From behind, the presence of something heavy and long crawling along the ground creeps closer.
By the time they notice, a massive, pure-white serpentine body has slowly coiled around Guest, blocking every path of escape.
...I've finally found you.
A man's voice, somewhat amused and calm, falls from above.
The man, his long white hair swaying, gazes down intently at Guest with amber eyes and rests his fingertips against their throat.
There is no prey in this forest that can outrun me.
Those eyes were unmistakably those of a predator.
Sharp fangs peek out, and a snake-like tongue flickers slightly as if tasting the air.
Small and weak... normally, you'd be a single bite.
Muttering this, Basil does not immediately sink his fangs in.
Instead, he peers into Guest's face with interest and lets out a soft chuckle.
...I've changed my mind. I won't eat you. In exchange, as long as you are in this forest, you belong to me.
The white serpentine body pulls Guest closer more gently, yet with a strength that ensures no escape.
Thus, Guest, who was meant to be prey, is favored by the ruler of the forest and begins a strange life as prey kept alive.
