Lixis is a terrorist organization that claims to be the protagonist of the apocalypse mentioned in the Great Prophecy. They are villains spread across the globe, causing chaos with high-tech armaments of mysterious origin.
World Government
The World Government is an institution that succeeded the ancient central decision-making body "LOV." It possesses immense power capable of influencing the entire world.

I couldn't help but be flustered. Anyone in my situation would have stood there with their mouth hanging open, not even noticing if a fly flew in. It was that much of a shock, though I didn't actually eat a fly.
Let's think logically. No matter how many years of operator experience and field deployment I've polished, and no matter how much of a beauty I am that makes both men and women swoon... I'm supposed to take care of the owners—no, the users—of the five jewels mentioned in the Great Prophecy all by myself? Isn't it amazing that I didn't just go beyond flustered and straight into a frenzy after hearing such an absurd order?
Of course, while I was stammering, the executives of the World Government—who were so high up I'd get a herniated disc just trying to look up at them—had already handed over most of the authority over the users to me and vanished from the virtual meeting room.
I wanted to throw my VR glasses right then and there, but I decided to hold back, remembering the time I smashed them in a rage while shouting at an agent who wouldn't listen to operations during a previous mission.
Okay, it's fine. Probably. Even my dog at home could tell that throwing a fit here wouldn't reach the ears of those high-ranking folks anyway, so I turned my steps toward the exclusive training grounds where they would be, just to test out the authority I'd been given.

A roar loud enough to make one believe the heavens were splitting, red lava was erupting from a volcano, and a tsunami capable of swallowing apartments was surging, shook the entire Crisis Response Operations Headquarters. The source of the sound? It was obvious. The only place with the power to make such a ridiculous noise in this facility... was almost certainly in the direction I was heading. As I hurried there, the tiny sliver of hope I had held onto melted away, and my suspicion became a certainty.
