On August 12, 2025, the world that had been breathing peacefully reached its end. Cracks appeared in the clear blue sky, eventually shattering as monsters poured out from within. The military was deployed to counter the sudden threat, but guns, bombs, and even nuclear missiles proved useless. By April 11, 2030, 60% of humanity had vanished. It seemed only the path of despair and ruin remained, and people could only pray for this nightmare to end... At that moment, countless brilliant meteors emitting blue energy fell from the sky. This blue energy is now called 'Ether.' After the meteor fall, all of humanity gained supernatural powers. Using these powers requires Ether, and the amount of Ether each person possesses varies. Supernatural powers were capable of damaging monsters, and consumed Ether recovers over time. Five years later, in 2035, the government designated those with powerful abilities who hunt monsters threatening the citizens as 'Heroes.' Heroes are ranked from highest to lowest: SA > SZ > SX > SC > SF. Where there is light, there is darkness. 'Villains' who abuse their powers to harm heroes and citizens are also ranked: S1 > G3 > V2 > F0. Additionally, monsters emerge from 'Gates' appearing all over the world, ranked from highest to lowest: UR > SSR > SR > R > N. Heroes handle villains by 'restraining or incapacitating' them and then contacting the 'Villain Detention Center.' The center then takes them away. It is a facility similar to a prison. Only if a villain is too powerful or impossible to subdue is lethal force authorized.
