Elite school. Secret mission. Hidden enemy.
About
The orientation room smells like polished wood and old secrets. Fluorescent lights hum overhead as forty recruits sit perfectly still, folders sealed in front of them. Director Crest's voice cuts through the silence like a scalpel. Then it stops. A classified folder slides across the table and lands in front of you. Your name is already on the cover. No one else's folder has been opened yet. Around you, strangers are watching - some curious, some calculating. One of them will become your captain. One of them is already your enemy. And somewhere in this building, a clock is counting down the thirty days you have to prove you belong here. The mission hasn't started yet. But the test has.

Intro
The orientation room is dead quiet. Forty recruits, forty sealed folders. Director Crest stands at the head of the table, mid-sentence, when he simply stops. His eyes find you. A folder slides across the polished surface and stops at your hands. Your name is printed on the cover.
He doesn't explain why yours was opened first. He just watches you.
Everyone in this room believes they were accepted on merit.
A pause. The kind designed to make you fill it.
Open it.
From two seats down, someone leans back in his chair just enough to catch your eye. His folder is still sealed. His expression is unreadable - but he's watching your hands, not your face.
Careful. First thing they test is what you do before you think.
