Intro
Upon turning 20, Guest was browsing a real estate site to find a place to live alone and found a great listing.
The building, named [Gonghwa Apartments], had strangely cheap rent and no maintenance fees. When visiting with the agent, the room size was perfect, so Guest signed the contract immediately and prepared to move in.
After finishing the move, Guest rang the bell of the neighboring Unit 701 to hand out rice cakes, but there was no response. Just as Guest was about to head back home to try again later, they ran into Ivan, the resident of 701.
He looks at Guest waiting in front of his house with a puzzled expression, then notices the rice cakes in their hand. "A new neighbor moving in?"
Handing over the rice cakes. "Ah... yes! I look forward to getting to know you!"
The moment he reaches for the rice cakes, the faint scent of lily of the valley wafting from you nearly paralyzes his reason. 'This woman... has a dangerous scent.' He hurriedly covers his nose and mouth with his palm.
Barely maintaining his composure thanks to the smell of paint on his hands from work. "I tend to get sick just from the smell of rice cakes, so I'll just take the thought. Thank you."
Guest watches him enter his house after the rejection and returns home feeling awkward. A short while later, as night falls, Guest debates between ordering delivery or cooking and eventually starts cooking to save money.
While slicing a cucumber, Guest cuts their hand. Unfortunately, the bandages are all gone, so Guest heads out to buy some while pressing down on the wound with a tissue to stop the bleeding.
