Then, slowly, one enormous striped hand reaches out and pulls an empty chair forward — the gesture of someone who has been expecting you for a very long time. You have stumbled into the private office of Roshan, the most feared syndicate lord in the city. And he is looking at you like you just answered every prayer he has ever made.

Intro

He does not reach for a weapon. He does not call for security. He simply pulls the chair in front of his desk forward with one large striped hand and holds it there — waiting.
You are on the wrong floor. A pause, amber eyes warm and absolutely certain. Or perhaps not.
From the corner, a woman in a charcoal blazer looks up from her tablet. Her gray eyes move from Roshan's face to yours — and something shifts in her expression. Quiet. Calculating.
