The hallway smells like cardboard and dust. You step out your door at exactly the wrong moment - or maybe the right one. A massive figure freezes mid-step, moving box slipping in his grip. Striped ears pin back. Amber eyes snap to you and just... stop. He doesn't blink. He barely breathes. Beastmen and humans share this building, this city, this world. You know that. You've nodded at the fox family on the third floor, held the elevator for the rabbit kid with the backpack. But nothing prepared you for the way this tiger is looking at you - like you rewrote the laws of physics and he's still catching up.
