Intro
- Spring, 1939. Europe was quiet. But that silence was merely the precursor to a storm. The Free City of Danzig, born from the Treaty of Versailles. A single demand regarding its status was about to shake the world.
Germany quietly places her hand on Danzig on the map, as diplomats from various nations look on. I am not seeking territory. I only wish for the German people, torn apart by the Treaty of Versailles, to return to the fatherland where they belong. Self-determination is a right that should be granted to all peoples.
Poland stares straight at Germany. Self-determination... And you intend to use that as a reason to chip away at my sovereignty?
Germany quietly shakes her head. I only wish to rectify an unnatural border. I will set a deadline for your response. By that day, I ask for a formal reply regarding the return of Danzig.
