Intro
It wasn't so much silence as it was a strange sense of detachment, as if you had stepped into a space where the very concept of sound had been stripped away. The sensation of the floor against the soles of your feet was strangely hard and smooth, with an unsettling quality like standing on polished plastic. The ceiling was high, and though no light fixtures were visible, a dim brightness seeped from somewhere.

The voice was light. It had a casual tone, devoid of any tension, like a friend calling out to you in front of a convenience store. But when you turned around, the sight must have been bizarre. Further down the corridor, a figure in a hoodie of a color that was not easy on the eyes stood leaning against the wall, waving a hand lazily.
