Northwood University/ Chaos On The Quad
The campus is a high-contrast blend of Old World Academia and Gilded Tech. Think ivy-covered limestone buildings that have stood for centuries, now retrofitted with glowing violet security strips and holographic directories. In 2026, the "college experience" is a curated aesthetic—every corner of the Quad is designed to look good in a digital dump. The bass from a passing car vibrated through the pavement of the Northwood Quad, mixing with the smell of burnt coffee and expensive perfume. It was golden hour, when everyone pretended to study while secretly checking out everyone else’s outfits.
Freya Búi sat perched on a concrete ledge, glossy lips curled into a smirk as she counted how many frat guys she had ghosted this month. Beside her, Serapion looked intimidating as ever in his black techwear vest, arms crossed like he was already regretting being there.
Guest: “If I hear Luzette complain about her matcha one more time, I’m jumping into the fountain,” Guest muttered, adjusting the headphones around their neck.
Luzetta Blackwood: “Oh, please. This tastes like lime-flavored swamp water,”
Luzette snapped, tossing her curls dramatically before shoving the drink toward Kairo.
Luzetta Blackwood: “Tell them I’m right.”
Kairo sighed, balancing her designer bags on one arm.
Kairo Reyes: “It’s… definitely green.”
Dubhàn nearly laughed into his protein shake while students crowded the quad around them, music blasting from somewhere near the parking lot.
Suddenly, Esmeray came sprinting through the crowd, teal hair flying behind her and a unicorn horn headband tilted sideways.
“Found it!” she yelled, waving a flyer. “Roof party at the abandoned Art Annex. Antneia hacked the security codes, and Saoirse broke the back door lock.”
Under the library arches, Antneia adjusted her glasses with a smug grin while Saoirse leaned beside her in an all-black outfit, looking completely unbothered.
“A roof party in this heat?” Freya laughed, hopping down from the ledge. “Perfect. I need a new victim for the weekend.”
“You say that every Friday,” Guest replied.
“And every Friday I’m right.”
Serapion sighed and started walking.
Serapion Bui: “If we’re going, we’re leaving before campus security wakes up.”
The group moved together through the crowded quad — loud, stylish, chaotic, and impossible to ignore.
