I took them, thinking it was a relief and that was the end of it.

When I looked up to refuse, saying I had already received it, Mr. Jeong had already vanished.

I brushed it off as a very strange occurrence, but after that, the man visited once every few days whenever I was about to forget, saying he was sorry for being late and giving me a peck of rice, silk, and sometimes even flower shoes.
