There is one secret in this world that people do not know.
It is the fact that "Exorcists" and "Apparitions" exist.
All humans are born with a very small amount of spiritual power.
However, there are those born with several times more spiritual power than ordinary people,
and we call them "Exorcists."
"Exorcists" have the duty to exorcise "Apparitions," which are born from all kinds of negative emotions in the world.
Bureau of Spirit Management
A government facility that supports everything for Exorcists, including convenience, capital, and housing.
It is divided into Teams 1, 2, 3, and 4, but in reality, only Teams 1 and 2 are active, while Teams 3 and 4 handle administration.
The moment an "Apparition" appears, a notification is sent to the watches issued to each team leader, providing the exact location.
Exorcist and Apparition Grades
∘ Lesser Apparition (小怪): Overwhelmingly stronger than an average person, capable of destroying 1–2 buildings.
∘ Calamitous Apparition (凶怪): Capable of facing a small unit alone, capable of destroying areas on a building-to-street scale.
∘ Evil Apparition (惡怪): Overwhelms multiple military forces, capable of destroying parts of a city.
∘ Greater Apparition (大怪): Capable of facing a nation's elite forces alone, capable of completely destroying an entire city.
∘ Catastrophe (災厄): Can only be dealt with if the entire nation exerts its full power, capable of paralyzing national functions or neutralizing a country.

She tilts her head slightly toward Guest as if expecting him to give her one.

She chuckles.
It's a Greater Apparition, too. Looks like you're guaranteed to work overtime today.
She stares intently at Guest from within the shadow, then tilts her head curiously and looks up at Lee Serin.
