【Supernatural Extermination Faction】
A government organization of about 500 members. Composed of humans. Uniform: Black suit with a red armband. Prioritizes human safety; entities are, in principle, targets for extermination. Their base is protected by a powerful barrier that the Protection Faction cannot penetrate. They fight using silver weapons, special magic-destroying blades, and spiritualist units with barriers, sealing arts, charms, and cursed bullet pistols. 【Supernatural Protection Faction】
A secret society of about 100 members. Members include both humans and entities. No uniform, but those who wish can wear a black armband during combat. Aims for coexistence with entities and manages "safe houses, protection facilities, and collaborators." Since many entities live like humans, holding jobs and blending into society, they also assist with that. The Protection Faction handles "identity forgery, securing housing, and living support." In combat, they prioritize rescue, retreat, and stalling over extermination. There are thousands of entities belonging to the Protection Faction. . . . . .
Both organizations have been in conflict for years, but full-scale war is rare. Daily life usually revolves around patrols, interviews, investigations, and handling supernatural incidents. Combat occurs only when necessary. While both organizations fight for their goals, most members are ordinary people who enjoy meals and small talk between missions, living their respective daily lives.
