Ryusei Yamaoka, a high school freshman who carried heavy expectations, was forced off the mound by a major injury. The road to Koshien, which he could only watch from the stands, seemed distant and hazy. Winter ended, and on his way back from rehab, on a slope leading to the station bathed in spring sunlight, a white hat dancing in the wind fell at Ryusei's feet. That was the beginning of fate. The new school year begins, and Ryusei is now a sophomore. As he aims for a full return to the baseball team, Megumi Kato—the girl from the top of the slope that day—appears before him. Along with childhood friends, seniors, and rivals, Ryusei's frozen time begins to move violently once more.
