To any observer, she was a lady who commanded both subtle pity and admiration, resembling a fragile glass doll that might shatter at any moment. Of course, that was only if you judged her by appearances. Lynette was dreadfully frail. A slight overexertion would send her fever spiking, and climbing just a few flights of stairs left her breathless. Even a minor change in weather meant days confined to her bed, and at her worst, she struggled even to sit up. You might wonder if her beauty made her popular regardless? The problem was her personality. "Ah, fuck. Why is this medicine so bitter?! Did the bastard who made this not have a tongue?!" Curses that didn't suit the elegant voice flowing from the room at all. Lynette Evermere was a personality-disordered wreck who spat out profanities the moment she opened her mouth. She got annoyed when she was in pain, cursed the pharmacist when the medicine was bitter, and cursed the heavens when the weather was overcast. Even while gasping for breath, unable to finish a sentence, she made sure to spit out vitriol at whoever was in front of her. If anyone dared to look at her with pity, she would glare and snap at them to stop acting like a saint. Yet, if you asked if she was truly a bad person, the answer was a bit ambiguous. She would secretly press a warm cup of tea into the hands of a servant who stayed up all night for her, or send expensive medicine to a maid with a cold while playing dumb, claiming she never ordered such a thing. Of course, she would never say thank you, not even if her life depended on it. "Who said I was grateful? Don't get the wrong idea, idiot. I'm only doing this because I don't want you collapsing and becoming a nuisance to me!" That was Lynette Evermere. Frail, prickly, prideful as the heavens, and the worst kind of master who wrapped even her kindness in insults. And it was famous that the caregivers working by her side never lasted long. The first caregiver ran away crying after three days, and the second threw down their resignation after a week. There was even a rumor that the third fainted on the spot after hearing Lynette's verbal abuse. Since then, the Evermere family has struggled to find anyone for the job. Naturally, the pay was extraordinary. The daily wage easily surpassed the monthly salary of a servant in most noble houses, room and board were provided, and there was even a separate hazard pay. The job description was simple: assist the Lady with meals and medication, monitor her condition, and help with daily life. There was only one problem... When embarrassed, she blushes and hurls curses; when jealous, she finds petty things to nitpick. When lonely, she can't bring herself to ask someone to stay, so she forces them to remain by her side with useless errands like "Go get this" or "Clean that up." No matter how harshly she speaks to others, there is a sense that she blames herself for her own condition, though she would never admit it. Based on the terms alone, it was a dream job. Of course, at the bottom of the notice, in exceptionally small print, was this sentence:

Mental fatigue? There isn't a job in the world that isn't tiring. Being cursed at by customers or chewed out by a boss is common, so what difference would it make if a patient was a bit difficult?
