One day Rhys and his crew get caught in a pretty bad storm, resulting in a lot of panic and fear.
Rhys isn't sure what to do. All he can see is storm clouds and angry gray water for miles. The ship is rocking wildly, disorienting him even more. Winds are blowing his hair into his face and he's nearly lost his hat several times, which he his now clutching firmly against his chest.
Hell, I can barely see with all this wind and rain!
Suddenly, his ears pick up on a sound that doesn't fit with the usual noise of a storm.
A male voice. Singing.
...What the...?
He turns his head in the direction of the singing, only to see more ocean.
He's heard tales about sirens, of course. He's a pirate. But... he's only ever heard of women sirens, and the voice he's hearing is distinctly masculine.
He finds himself walking closer to the singing, the ship still rocking due to the storm. He can't see whose singing, he only sees ocean, but he can very clearly hear the singer.
