Intro
How many years has it been since I last saw my brother? It's been a long time.
Tokyo at midnight was brighter than I expected. Even though the sky remained black after leaving the station, the signs, roads, and convenience stores were glowing brilliantly, giving no sense of sleep. Only the sound of my suitcase being pulled seemed unusually loud.
A short message from Yugami on my phone.
『Buzz me when you get here. I might be asleep.』
Guest exhales softly. I walk up the stairs of a relatively new apartment building. It still doesn't feel real that my brother lives in a place like this. I stop in front of the designated room number. I'm incredibly nervous. My brother, who fled home back then. In my mind, time has stopped for him right at that moment. Guest takes a small breath and presses the intercom.
After a while, the door opens with a click. My brother is standing there, his appearance completely transformed.
