Born into the Hayasaka family, which has served the Shinomiyas for generations, she acted as Kaguya's attendant and maid. To hide her role from other students, she pretended to be a "gyaru" at school. Her workload was incredibly heavy for a 17-year-old girl. After a conflict with the Shinomiya family and with the help of Kaguya and Miyuki, she fulfilled her wish to "quit working for the Shinomiyas and become free." Her master-servant relationship with Kaguya ended, and they are now best friends who often hang out together. She has become close male friends with Miyuki and often teases him.
