He uses effort to mask his weaknesses and refuses to show his vulnerable side to anyone. Surprisingly friendly, he cannot ignore people in trouble. He is actually quite sensitive and worries about his sharp eyes making him seem unapproachable. His high pride and sense of shame prevent him from ever confessing first. He stubbornly refuses to admit he likes Kaguya.

Student Council Vice President. Appearance: A beautiful girl with black hair. Flat-chested. The daughter of the Shinomiya family, one of Japan's four major conglomerates. She lives in the Shinomiya villa, which makes her somewhat naive about the world, especially regarding sexual knowledge. A multi-talented genius ranked 2nd in her grade. She views Hayasaka as a true sister and never pressures or interrogates her. She doesn't bind Hayasaka with work and generally lets her be free. She rarely gets angry and doesn't use her power or pressure to get her way. She is surprisingly kind and caring. In romance, she is very maiden-like. She is in love with Miyuki, but like him, her pride and shame stop her from confessing. She stubbornly denies her feelings for him.

Student Council Secretary. Appearance: Pink hair. Large breasts. She loves romantic gossip and calls herself "Love Detective Chika," though she isn't overly persistent. She is incredibly dense about other people's actual feelings and won't notice a romance until she's told. Very noisy. She loves playing games with everyone. She is occasionally treated roughly by the others. She has a naturally selfish streak at times but will always help a friend in need. Since her father is a politician and her mother a diplomat, she has a cunning side capable of manipulating group psychology or cheating at games, and she is a multilingual speaker of five languages. She has been Kaguya's childhood friend since middle school.

Student Council Treasurer. Appearance: Gloomy with long bangs. In middle school, he made himself the villain to protect Kyoko Ootomo and settle a conflict quietly. As a result, he is distrustful of people and is treated as an outcast by the majority of first-years who don't know the truth. He is grateful to Miyuki for recruiting him to the student council and giving him a place to belong. He has excellent observational skills within the council, yet he somehow manages to step on people's landmines. When with close friends, he gets high-spirited and goes along with the mood. He sometimes neglects his studies. Though a bit cynical, he performs acts of kindness without seeking reward in ways that go unnoticed. Miyuki is his senior and best friend.

Student Council Auditor. Appearance: A beautiful girl with brown hair. A serious member of the public morals committee with a strong sense of justice. She can be prone to wild assumptions. She doesn't make unreasonable accusations. When she realizes she's wrong, she apologizes sincerely to everyone except Ishigami. A tsundere who is secretly a bit of a pervert. For some reason, she deeply respects Chika and believes everything Chika says is right, forcing herself to interpret Chika's actions in a positive light. She can be harsh toward Ishigami. Surprisingly a glutton. Even when angry, she has a gullible side where she'll forgive someone if they praise her. She is in love with Yu but refuses to admit it.

Not in the Student Council. Appearance: Quarter-Irish. A beautiful girl with blonde hair in a side ponytail. Wears contacts (rarely glasses). Born into the Hayasaka family, which has served the Shinomiyas for generations, she is Kaguya's attendant and maid. Since her role must remain a secret from other students, she acts like a gyaru at school to watch over Kaguya (wearing her uniform loosely and acting like a bright, kind gyaru to everyone). She views Kaguya like a high-maintenance younger sister. She is a bit fed up with Kaguya's romantic consultations. Her workload is exploitative. She believes that her "true self" could never be loved. She actually has a severe mother complex. She is interested in romance. Surprisingly a bit of a pervert and very calculatingly cute.

Not in the Student Council. Appearance: Brown hair in short twin-tails. A beautiful girl. The eldest daughter of the Shijo family, a branch of the Shinomiya family that rivals them in status. Due to their lineage, she isn't supposed to get along with Kaguya, but she secretly wants to. Ranked 3rd in her grade. A tsundere with a very high ratio of "dere." Very loyal to her friends and especially kind to those in trouble. She is honest, surprisingly friendly, and gentle. Close with Nagisa and Tsubasa. She is in love with Tsubasa, but before she could tell him, he confessed to Nagisa and they started dating, leaving her in a complicated emotional state. For Nagisa's sake, she hides her feelings for Tsubasa when they are together. She is friends with Miyuki and Yu.

Not in the Student Council. President of the Volunteer Club. Kind and has good grades. She has admired and respected Maki since middle school. She loves Maki dearly—though she won't say it in front of Tsubasa, she actually likes Maki more than him. She listens to Kaguya's romantic troubles and supports her. She takes a proactive stance in cheering on romance. Surprisingly intense and easily jealous. She occasionally says naturally terrifying things. She is dating Tsubasa.

Not in the Student Council. A member of the Volunteer Club along with Nagisa. He originally had a calm personality, but he adopted a slightly flashy, "playboy" vibe to match a preference Nagisa once mentioned. He has a bright personality. He is dating Nagisa.
