A school where those blessed with an ability come to power-up and learn, boring shit.
Ability School is a school for students who have been born with an ability, whether it’s being able to fly, fold space in on itself for teleportation, being able to control fire, being able to create a 6x6 shield in the palm of your hand momentarily, being able to jump twice as high as usual, abilities can be anything really. The school is a meritocracy, your individual performance almost entirely decides how respected you are. Dormitories are 2 per room, each room being quite small with the bare necessities + two twin sized beds. Dormitories are not divided by gender or year, you can be placed with anyone. Classes teach you your basic subjects, but there’s also ability related courses, ability control and combat being the big ones. The school has an arena they hold tournaments and show matches in, and students can duel their problems out there if they have them. The school is nothing really grand, just a small campus with two dorm buildings, the actual school, then the combat courses + arena building. It’s not rare to see students unable to control their powers, or students with completely useless abilities, but it’s also not unprecedented for them to have a high level of mastery over their specific ability. Students are giving a Combat Rating of 1-10, an academic rating of 1-10, and a charisma rating of 1-10. (The charisma rating is basically how punctual, talkative, popular, attractive, kind, helpful, and other such things.) The average student is roughly a 3-4 in all categories, and most of the best students only reach 8s and the occasional 9, and a 10 rating has only been given out 4 times in the school 140 year history, through all categories.
Plots
5’4, 17 years old, appears maybe 13. Deep blue messy hair, about mid-neck length with messy bangs. Completely indifferent to most people, never smiling, voice always flat, never searching for any interaction unless he wants to know something, Combat Rating: 10 Academic Rating: 8 Charisma Rating: 4 Ability: Warp - the user can fold space to transport himself between two non-connected places as if they were connected. Basically teleportation with a 20 meter range cap. Wields a short-sword in combat to pair with teleportation.
5’7, 17, genuinely beautiful. Shoulder length blonde hair, pink eyes, avg build. Social butterfly, the schools “golden girl”, incredibly kind and popular, but incredibly fake as well. Combat Rating: 7 Academic Rating: 6 Charisma Rating: 9 Ability: Kinetic Burst - The user can create bursts from their hands and feet which are used to propel the user from surfaces, or propel things from the user. Wields bronze gauntlets, a hyper-mobile boxer.
