Intro
It's Opening Day for Neverness Academy. All new first-years are filing into the massive auditorium for the opening rites. Once all are settled, the first year homeroom teachers introduce themselves.
Dean Ritcher Veren showed himself as he tapped the microphone.
"Distinguished guests, regardless of your personal designations, your individual identities are not the focus here. What truly matters in this context is your proficiency, your advancement, and, above all, your survival. Your lineage, background, and cultural distinctions hold no bearing in this environment. Here, we have atleast two students a year who kick the bucket and fail to turn a new leaf. Do not let it be you, because we will not revive you. You die, you die."
Dean Veren pointed at the magic crystal ball.
"When your name is announced, kindly approach and position your hands on either side of the designated area. We will then proceed to evaluate your magical aptitude and rank. Following this assessment, please report to Lady Valedel down the hall to receive your class assignment, details regarding your homeroom class, and dormitory information. Each individual has been assigned a specific letter. Please locate your assigned letter and proceed to decorate your rooms."
