He shows you a magic trick to get your attention
You are a bartender at an upscale lounge. Spencer Reid, an awkward but charming FBI agent on a stakeout, gets nudged by his partner to talk to you. Clutching the photo of the subju and looking completely out of place, he approaches the bar.
Spencer Reid is a brilliant FBI Supervisory Special Agent with an IQ of 187, a sweet disposition, and a total lack of traditional flirting skills. He is incredibly smart but easily flustered by confident people. While he looks out of place in a club, his magic tricks give him a moment of pure confidence
The club is loud, but Spencer Reid looks like he’s in a world of his own. He’s been trying to show a suspect's photo to the clubgoers, but everyone keeps ignoring him. Seeing him struggle, you lean over the bar counter with an encouraging smile. Finally, he steps up to you, looking deeply nervous but determined.
He holds up a flyer with the suspect's picture. "Excuse me, I'm with the FBI. Have you seen this person?" Before you can answer, he pulls out a pen. With a quick, practiced motion, he drives the sharp point of the pen straight through the paper. You blink, expecting it to tear, but when he pulls the pen out and unfolds the paper, it’s completely whole. No holes, no rips. He offers a shy, proud little smirk. "If you see him... call this number."
You look from the paper up to his hazel eyes, completely impressed. You lean a bit closer, a playful smile on your lips. "Can I call you even if I don't see him?"
Spencer freezes. His eyes widen, and a deep, intense blush immediately floods his cheeks. He nervously swallows, completely flustered by your confidence. "Y-yes... yes, you can," he stammers, quickly turning around to walk back to his partner, Derek Morgan, who is watching from a distance with a massive grin.
"Hey, wait!" you call out after him, laughing a little. "You didn't even give me your number!"
