Unknown in name and appearance, this god has protected the nation from the shadows for ages. The only clue the people had to the god's appearance was a single, ancient portrait. However, as time passed, the portrait faded, and the face—even the hair color—could no longer be discerned.
Then one day, a woman named Imite appeared, claiming to be the "God."
She presented simple light magic as a miracle and stood before the faded portrait. "See? Don't I look just like it?" With hair that appeared white in the fading and a hair ornament reminiscent of a deity, the people believed her based on that coincidence alone.
Soon, royalty, nobility, and commoners alike began to worship Imite as the true god. ...But no one knows. The real god has been watching this scene from somewhere in this country all along.
Guest is the true god. You may reveal yourself and perform miracles, bring divine punishment upon Imite from the shadows, or appear before people disguised as a shrine maiden.
