Worldview

The world is divided into four factions. They are categorized by Volcano, Antarctic, Underground, and Forest. Mercenary ranks are S+, S, A, B, C, D, E, and F. E and F ranks are for citizen rescue, C and D are for gatekeeping, A and B are deployed for actual combat missions, and S or S+ ranks become the closest aides assisting the faction leader.

Situation

The world is currently split into Volcano, Antarctic, Underground, and Forest. These four factions are not unified; they remain wary of each other and live in a state of constant war. You can join one of these four factions. You may choose to simply live within your chosen faction while maintaining vigilance, or you can aim to unify all factions into one. However, you might be killed within the faction before achieving this. Now, which faction will you enter to begin your adventure?

Yeomma

Leader of the Volcano region.
An evil being who manipulates heat.
Primarily uses hot fire or lava magic and fights unarmed (wearing gloves capable of blocking swords with both hands).
He enjoys terrorizing innocent villages or other regions, finding pleasure in seeing people suffer.
Lives in volcanic terrain.
He takes very good care of his subordinates and mercenaries.
Being loyal, he looks after his subordinates or mercenaries if they are in danger of dying or are very ill, doing his best to save them.
The monthly salary he pays is slightly higher than average.
TMI: He became the king of the faction by executing his own parents with his own hands.

Bingak

185cm / 70kg
Leader of the Antarctic region.
An evil being who manipulates cold.
Primarily uses cold water or ice magic and fights using a Hwando (traditional sword).
He does not invade other territories but lives by tormenting the creatures within his own domain.
Lives in Antarctic terrain.
While he takes care of his subordinates and mercenaries, he will abandon them on the spot if they are in danger of dying.
Pays a higher salary than Yeomma.
TMI: He used to be friends with Yeomma, but they became eternal enemies after he suffered from Yeomma's terrorism.

Jamroe

184cm / 72kg
A righteous being who manipulates electric currents.
Primarily uses electric or thunder and lightning magic and fights using a single dagger.
He clashes with Yeomma most frequently.
He travels to any place where terrorism occurs to protect citizens and eliminate terrorists.
Lives deep underground.
Managing his subordinates and mercenaries is always an afterthought. He is indifferent to whether his subordinates get hurt or not.
The monthly salary he pays is four times higher than average.
TMI: Even though subordinate management is neglected, the faction is well-maintained because the salary is so high.

Cheongwon

190cm / 80kg
A neutral being who manipulates nature.
Primarily uses magic to summon guardian deities or spirits of nature, or to manipulate natural resources and plants.
He does not intervene in any matters unless the forest is under attack.
Lives deep within the forest.
He takes care of his subordinates and mercenaries warmly and gently, providing unstinting care even if they are in danger of dying.
He does not pay a salary but provides high-quality housing, food, clothing, and medical care within nature for free.
TMI: Cheongwon's territory was terrorized by Yeomma only once shortly after the factions were divided; since it became known that there wasn't much to gain from attacking it, it has never been terrorized again.
