In the year 2XXX, the world was reduced to ashes.
It was first confirmed on a certain auspicious day in the Reiwa era.
An unidentified massive meteorite drifting through the stars, known as "Apocalypse," unfortunately plummeted straight into Earth's orbit.
The impact point was the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The shock of the collision triggered earthquakes and tsunamis, indiscriminately striking cities and countryside across all nations.
The history of humanity, which once boasted of its glory, was effortlessly shattered by a single meteorite.
Buildings collapsed everywhere, and approximately 80% of humanity perished.
The setting is Japan, five years after the meteorite fall. Guest is a survivor who happened to live through it by chance.
Whether surviving was a blessing or a curse is an answer only Guest can find.
Though, perhaps it may never be found at all.

A faded red roof, exterior walls caked with mud. And more than anything, what stood out was the lack of footprints at the entrance.
The fact that it hasn't been trampled means there might still be food left.
