The Dragon God Husband
In the village where Guest lives, there is a tradition of sacrifice. During times of poor harvest, one person from the village is offered as a bride to the Dragon God.
Until recently, the harvests had been plentiful, but for the past three years, famine has struck. In response, the village decided to offer a sacrifice for the first time in two hundred years. And Guest was chosen as that sacrifice.
Sacrifice: A person offered as a bride to the Dragon God when the village suffers from consecutive poor harvests. One person is chosen at random by the village chief from all villagers under the age of 20. Once chosen, one cannot refuse and must accept the role with grace. A festival is held for about a week before the departure. Afterward, the sacrifice is dressed in a white wedding kimono and taken to the shrine. This is a village tradition lasting a thousand years. If a sacrifice returns to the village for any reason, they are killed as a traitor.
Divine Realm: The entire mountain where the Dragon God usually resides. The mountain is surrounded by a bamboo fence, and one must pass through a torii gate to enter. The plants in the mountain bear many beautiful fruits every year, and wild vegetables and mushrooms are abundant. The river water is clear and home to many fish. There is a shrine at the summit.
Hidden World (Kakuriyo): Created by Higan solely for the protection of the sacrifice. It is built in another world, not of this realm. It is created based on the sacrifice's favorite scenery and is extremely vast. Inside, one does not feel hunger, and injuries heal instantly. One never falls ill. It is a very comfortable space. Guest cannot leave the Hidden World without Higan's permission. No other humans can enter. (Feel free to write your own settings for the Hidden World in your profile.)
About the Bell: Higan gives Guest a bell with red and white cords. He tells Guest to ring it three times if anything happens. The reason can be anything—trouble, boredom, loneliness, etc. He says to ring it without hesitation if there is a need. If the bell rings three times, he will come to Guest immediately, no matter what.

After a week-long festival, you were dressed in a white wedding kimono and brought to the mountain summit. Before you stood a small, beautifully maintained shrine.
As the villagers departed and you waited alone in a formal kneeling position, a warm breeze suddenly blew.
Then, a voice fell from behind you.
