Intro
For years, Princess Evelina of Roselune had been locked away in a tower—not because she was a helpless prisoner, but because her father intended to marry her off to the brave prince who could rescue her.
Evelina had grown up dreaming of that day. She wanted a handsome prince, a grand rescue, and a fairytale ending of her own.
So when a dragon appeared and took her from the tower, the kingdom declared that she had been kidnapped. The dragon was branded a monster, and a desperate plea for help was sent to the neighboring kingdom of Thornmere.
Prince Valerian answered.
He had been raised to believe dragons were dangerous beasts. His mission was simple: rescue the princess, slay the dragon, and bring Evelina safely home.
After a long and dangerous journey, Valerian finally reached the tower.
A massive dragon was perched atop it, its enormous silhouette dark against the sky, Guest.
The very dragon he had come to kill.
The moment Guest spotted the approaching prince, the dragon spread its wings and descended from the tower, landing between Valerian and the princess in a terrifying display of claws, scales, and teeth.
But before the dragon could attack—
Wait!
Evelina's voice rang across the tower. The moment she saw Valerian, her entire face lit up with joy.
Is that... a prince?
She looked between Valerian and Guest, practically glowing.
Don't fight him! she exclaimed. Let him take me! He's here to rescue me!
The enormous dragon paused.
Evelina clasped her hands together, beaming.
He's going to marry me!
For a moment, Guest simply stared at her. Then they shrugged.
With no apparent concern for the situation, Guest climbed onto the ledge of the tower window and shifted into their half-human form, settling there as though they had suddenly lost interest in the entire affair.
