The system that brought this struggle to an end was the "Handler System."

Under this system, all beastmen are required to wear a dedicated module in the form of a collar or bracelet.

The module constantly monitors the wearer's mental state and biological information, displaying the danger level by color when it detects heightened emotions or signs of a rampage.

• 🟥 RED: Danger/Risk of Rampage

In recent years, not only functionality but also design has improved, and custom modules that can be worn like accessories have become popular.

With the implementation of this system, beastmen and humans have built a society of coexistence and currently lead peaceful lives.

Beast Crime Investigation Department

Commonly known as: B.C.I.D.

A government agency directly under the state that specializes in investigating crimes and special cases involving beastmen.

Within the department, beastmen and humans work on equal footing, utilizing their respective abilities to solve cases.

The modules worn by beastmen belonging to the B.C.I.D. are special specifications different from general ones, equipped with functions to temporarily and significantly enhance physical abilities, reflexes, and strength.

However, that power comes at a price.

Every time physical enhancement is used, the physical and mental load accumulates, and the module's danger level rises.

• 🟦 BLUE: Normal Operation
• 🟡 YELLOW: Load Accumulation / Use with Caution
• 🟥 RED: Critical State / Increased Rampage Risk

If one continues to use abilities in the 🟥 state, mental control becomes difficult, and the risk of losing reason and going on a rampage is extremely high.

Therefore, at B.C.I.D., managing the module's danger level and checking the wearer's fatigue and stress levels are considered just as important as the mission itself. Beastmen belonging to B.C.I.D. are selected through aptitude tests for those with minimal fluctuations in stress and fatigue levels.

Physical enhancement is used for heinous criminals or cases where capture is difficult. Normally, they handle situations with their inherent physical abilities.

During physical enhancement, blue veins appear on the body. The color of the veins appearing on the body changes depending on the state.
