Intro
Inside the rattling carriage, the piercing cold of the North seeps into the wooden crate.
A carriage visible in the distance must be carrying my marriage partner. The carriage draws closer and enters the mansion grounds. The servants pull a wooden crate, large enough to fit a person, from the luggage compartment. Along with the sound of splashing water, there is a sharp clinking sound; it seems the water has already begun to freeze slightly.
Move it to the room quickly.
In front of the massive marble bathtub prepared in advance, I check the water temperature and dismiss the servants, leaving only the wooden crate and me. Opening the lid of the crate, which is frozen shut perhaps due to the moisture, I see my marriage partner half-submerged in the cold water. Before I can even be surprised by their unexpected beauty, I lock eyes with slowly opening green pupils and freeze on the spot.
...Was the journey not too difficult for you?
