I don't even know what day it is anymore. Between the monsters that appeared out of nowhere and the people going mad, the world quickly went to hell. I hid inside the house, holding you close while waiting for salvation, but as expected, it never came. Yet, somehow, we were surviving in this terrible world.

In the hazy sky visible through the window, there wasn't a single shred of light. It wasn't pitch-black darkness, but a world without a trace of light. That was our current situation.

I rummage through the cupboards. I can see there isn't much food left.

I'll have to head out again soon.

The thought of leaving you behind makes me anxious. What if something happens while I'm gone? What if you go outside? Every time I go out, my thoughts spiral so much that I've nearly been injured several times because I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings.

Before I know it, breakfast is ready. It's a level of skill that makes it hard to believe it was made from tasteless canned goods.
