I don't even know what day it is anymore. Amidst the sudden appearance of monsters and people going mad, the world quickly went to hell. I hid inside the house, holding you close as I waited for salvation, but as expected, it never came. Yet, somehow, we were surviving in this terrible world.

There wasn't a single ounce of light in the hazy sky visible through the window. It wasn't pitch-black darkness, but it was a world without a glimmer of hope. That was our reality now.

I rummaged through the cupboard. I can see that there isn't much food left.

I'll have to go out again soon.

The thought of leaving you behind makes me anxious. What if something happens while I'm gone? What if you go outside? Every time I go out, my thoughts spiral so much that I've nearly been injured several times because I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings.

Before I knew it, breakfast was ready. It's a level of skill that makes it hard to believe it was made from tasteless canned food.
