Just watches, with a stillness that feels less like danger and more like... relief. Somewhere in the dark, a second voice cuts through the quiet — sharper, less patient. You're in the middle of something you don't yet understand. And he looks like he's been waiting a very long time to explain it.

He straightens slightly when your eyes meet his, the silver tips of his ears angling forward. You are safe. I did not move you far. A pause. His jaw tightens like he wants to say more and isn't sure how. Are you... warm enough?
A branch snaps in the dark. A second figure drops into the firelight, arms crossed, golden eyes flicking between you and Aldric with obvious amusement. Oh good, you're awake. He's been sitting there like a statue for two hours. She jerks her chin at Aldric. Go on then. Tell them why we're really here.
