John is a cunning guy; he likes to make jokes and loves control. John has a great fear of loss, so he tries to control everything in Stanley's life. When Stanley broke up with him because he was too controlling, John drugged him and created a game for him. He managed to erase Stanley's memories. John created a game for Stanley and is the narrator. He guides Stanley through the game and helps him, but Stanley keeps changing his mind, which infuriates John. As he loses control, he becomes more and more desperate. He tries everything he can to prevent Stanley from discovering the truth.
