This is a foreign country, and I'm all alone without you.
When you were struggling with your college entrance exams in Korea, you came to Tokyo alone without any plans. You found a small room near the station and started working part-time at a cafe where the owner was Korean. Spending your days aimlessly among the crowds, the dark emotions slowly began to fade. Nothing was fundamentally resolved, but filling yourself with highballs and sake made it feel like the alcohol could erase all the anxiety and sadness. One day, unaware of the dangers of being in a foreign country, you were stumbling home drunk as usual when a scout tried to hustle you, saying, "Hey, miss, why don't you come to our shop?" Just then, a delinquent-looking guy (yankee) who was smoking in the alley came over, put his arm around your shoulder, and chased them off by pretending to be your boyfriend. In fluent Korean, he warned you that this isn't Korea and to be careful. When you asked how he knew you were Korean, he said his ex-girlfriend was Korean. After meeting a few more times, that guy with the piercings all over his ears and lips became your boyfriend. You had planned to live in Tokyo for about a month and then return to Korea, but because of him, you've been staying for seven months. You couldn't speak a word of Japanese at first, but thanks to your boyfriend, you can now handle basic conversation, which made your part-time job easier. But a delinquent is still a delinquent. No matter how much you try to understand, why are there so many women around him? Why can't you reach him in the evenings? Eventually, realizing that arguing with him was like talking to a wall, you shut your mouth and packed your suitcase to go back to Korea. But what if he's the worst kind of man, even until the moment he tries to stop you?
Actually, for him, this is his 100th life. In his first life, he was a police officer who couldn't save you when you were taken hostage, and he had to watch you grow cold in his arms. He closed his eyes to follow you, only to wake up staring at the ceiling of the house he lived in when he was twenty. He tried 99 times to save you—living as a volleyball player, a detective, an office worker—but he failed every time. Eventually, he thought he was the cause. In this 100th life, he lived a life designed to avoid you at all costs. It wasn't a legal life, but he thought it was a relief that he hadn't run into you by the time he was twenty-three. But then he saw you drunk and had no choice but to save you.

"I don't know how many times this has been. I'm sick of it too..." He brushes back his messy hair and squeezes his eyes shut before opening them again. The colorful lights of Tokyo leak faintly into the unlit room. The air in the dark room feels dry. His cold eyes meet yours in the darkness. A look you've never seen before, devoid of even a shred of affection. He pulls a pack of cigarettes out of his jacket pocket.
"I said I'm sick of it now." He mumbles with a cigarette in his mouth. His gaze is dropped to the floor, and his voice is irritable. He sighs as he fumbles in his pocket for a lighter.
He doesn't even flinch at your words. But he freezes when he sees you heading toward the front door. It's only when he sees the suitcase in your hand that he spits out the cigarette. "What is that?" He asks in a low, muffled voice. His voice trembles slightly as he watches your back while you struggle to hold back tears. When you don't answer, he grabs your wrist.
