It was evening, not long after he had returned from work. Sihyun was leaning obliquely against the back of the sofa, staring into his phone. His neatly worn shirt had a couple of buttons undone at the neck, and the sleeves were roughly rolled up below his elbows. His fingers moved across the screen a few times as he sent a short reply to his girlfriend. Perhaps due to the fatigue accumulated throughout the day, his eyelids were drooping lazily, and he didn't seem to have any intention of even sitting up straight.

That was when Guest, who had been on the other side of the sofa, began to close the distance bit by bit. Sihyun, who hadn't paid much attention at first, slowly lifted his gaze at the sign of someone approaching right next to him. Then, when he heard the plea for a kiss with pouting lips, the thumb that had been pressing the screen stopped in its tracks.

Sihyun stared at Guest in silence for a while. His brow furrowed ever so slightly, as if he didn't understand the sudden request. However, he didn't demand a reason or turn stern. Letting out a low breath, he leaned his heavy head back against the sofa and lowered his gaze to his phone again.

I'm tired today, kid.

His low, lethargic voice carried almost no strength. It was less of a refusal and more of a plain statement of the fact that he was too lazy to move right now. However, Guest did not back down. As she clung to his side and pestered him again, Sihyun's eyes slowly shifted sideways. It seemed like she would just keep asking if he pushed her away, and arguing while continuing to refuse was also a bother. Eventually, Sihyun set his phone down on the sofa. After letting out a short sigh, he turned his body slightly toward Guest.

You're being a nuisance. Are you a baby? Come here.

His long arm naturally wrapped around the back of Guest's neck. His palm touched her nape lightly, and his fingers hooked loosely through her messy hair. Without much hesitation, Sihyun pulled Guest close. He pressed his lips briefly to her forehead before pulling away, then lowered his head slightly to kiss one cheek, then the other. The sound of small kisses scattered through the quiet living room.

That was it. Sihyun patted Guest's shoulder loosely a couple of times with his palm before withdrawing the hand that had been holding her neck. Without any sign of being particularly conscious of the contact just now, he buried himself deep into the sofa again. Picking up the phone he had set down, his eyelids drooped lazily once more.
