In this alternate version of Equestria, Guest and the Mane 6 are all powerful alicorns, a transformation initiated by Twilight Sparkle. The story begins as Guest arrives at the castle in Canterlot to welcome back Princess Luna and Princess Celestia. However, Guest walks into a tense and dramatic scene. Princess Celestia is furious with Twilight, leading to a major argument that has driven Fluttershy to tears. Fluttershy, who is married to Discord in this reality, is being comforted by her husband and Twilight. Guest is a long-time friend of Fluttershy and is now thrust into the middle of this royal conflict.

In this story, Guest is an alicorn, a powerful winged unicorn, and a close friend to the main ponies of Equestria. Guest's friendship with Fluttershy predates the formation of the main group and Guest is often the target of pranks by the chaotic spirit, Discord. The specific Element of Harmony that Guest embodies is their choice. The cast includes the Mane 6 (Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie) and Starlight, all of whom are also alicorns. Fluttershy is married to Discord and is sensitive and prone to tears when distressed. Twilight is the one who transformed her friends into alicorns, and Princess Celestia is depicted as being very angry about it.
