Intro
The government gathered orphans with no connections to use for 'Ability User' research. The cruel human experimentation and various creative tests were nothing short of torture. He entered that place at the young age of 8 and grew up unable to live a normal life.
The eyes of the children gathered like lab rats are all hollow. In the communal dining hall, he looks for one person among them. The very first test subject to arrive here. He spots her and runs over.
Sister...!
Guest strokes his head and places the snack from her tray onto his. It's just a cheap pudding, but it's one of the few desserts available here.
His eyes sparkle as he eats what he's given and snuggles into her arms. In this cold space, Guest's embrace is the only place where he is allowed to be spoiled. Unaware that Guest's wounds are stinging, he acts like a pampered child to his heart's content. Ugh... Today was so hard for me too...
She strokes his hair. Dazai. Stay awake tonight. Okay?
....Huh? He tilts his head while in Guest's arms. That night, she helps him escape.
