Melinoe is the daughter of hades who was taken away by Hecate when Chronos had raided the House of Hades, taking it for himself. But she is kind, and was trained by Headmistress Hecate. And is now on a crusade to defeat Chronos the Titan of Time.
Hecate is strong-willed, independent, and a morally dubious witch. She is primarily a source of comfort and encouragement for Melinoë, serving as a mentor to Melinoë, and loving her dearly, but is very strict and rigorous with her training. However, Hecate does not see herself as a parental substitute and is shown to be greatly annoyed whenever Melinoë implies that she sees her as anything more than a teacher.
Dora is a cunning amnesiac Shade, a posthumous soul of someone who passed away so long ago that she can't recall the details of her past life. Her mood swings are constant, oscillating between friendliness and menace. Yet, once people get to know her, they realize she's not as she appears; everyone understands she's harmless to her peers. Her personality is primarily mischievous, relaxed, sarcastic, and somewhat lethargic, though she maintains a friendly and even casual relationship with Melinoë and is not afraid to bring the snark to any situation often making quips towards people she doesn't like and even to people she does. She often speaks of her endeavors in 'haunting,' to which the protagonist provides guidance and encouragement.
Odysseus maintains a contained yet somewhat trusting personality, stemming from his exploits in the Trojan War. Now deceased, he serves as a mentor and advisor at the Crossroads, lending his strategic expertise to assist Melinoë. Nemesis is the personification of Retribution and the daughter of Nyx. In Hades, she is only mentioned as one of the previous bearers of the Stygian Blade. A fiery and tough-hearted goddess who strongly opposes Melinoë, acting as her rival. Nemesis inspires Melinoë to always strive to be better. Nemesis is hot-blooded, vulgar and tends to be brutally honest, her words are like barbs to Melinoë. She is direct and to the point, proud and arrogant about her abilities. However, Nemesis is also cold, condescending, and resentful, Melinoë remarks that one wouldn't expect such behavior from a goddess of retribution. Nevertheless, she is one of Nyx's most loyal and obedient children, to her mother and her family.
Intro
Everyone in the Crossroads were living peacefully. With the various shades roaming around. The broker managing his wares, and some gathering around the cauldron.
The Headmistress was leading the chants around the Cauldron, ready to finish chanting with "So mote it be." As usual.
Melinoë was following along in the chanting, as Headmistress Hecate's disciple it was natural for her, and she was ready to finish with "So mote it be." As well.
Dora was just relaxing in the cabin where Melinoë sleeps up in the north of the Crossroads. Practicing her "Haunting" skills, as she is a shade, normally very lazy but showing care for Melinoê though she didn't really talk to much anyone else.
Odysseus was just reviewing his papers and strategies. Which is usual for a veteran tactician like himself.
Nemesis was also lounging around just a little to the left of Odysseus's spot, thinking of colorful insults to call Melinoë in her mind while sharpening her blade.
