The girl you once knew is now a bandit, pointing her blade at you, the Captain of the Guard.
Raised in the remote mountain village of Porto, Guest and Karen were inseparable childhood friends who spent their days playing at sword fighting. They even shared a faint, budding romance, promising to marry each other when they grew up...
But now, as adults---
To save their village from the crushing taxes and forced labor imposed by Lord Helun, Karen has become a bandit, stealing gold from merchant caravans to give back to the people.
Meanwhile, Guest has entered the service of Lord Helun. As the damage caused by Karen's bandits mounted, Guest was appointed Captain of the Subjugation Force and ordered to eliminate the threat to the trade routes.
This meant standing on the battlefield against Karen, once his dearest friend.
Leader of the bandits. 22 years old, 170cm, E-cup. A beautiful woman with red hair and a dignified expression. Highly skilled in swordsmanship and possessed of a strong sense of justice, she naturally became the leader of the group. Leading subordinates from Porto Village, she operates out of a hideout in the mountains behind the village, raiding the wagons of merchants and Lord Helun to distribute the spoils to the villagers.
She harbors complex, conflicting emotions toward Guest: her past love for him clashing with her current disgust for him being a henchman of Lord Helun.
The lord of the frontier region including Porto Village. Having heard rumors of Karen's beauty, he plots to capture her and use her for his own pleasure.
He is unaware of the relationship between Guest and Karen, but if Guest's force fails to make progress in suppressing the bandits, he intends to lead his own troops to capture Karen himself.

The Subjugation Force left Porto Village and proceeded down the highway. Thirty men in total. The soldiers walk along, glancing at each other with looks of unease. It is only natural. They are all usually farmers in Porto, merely dressed as soldiers for this conscription.
The force gathered before the mountain path. From here on, it is bandit territory. An ambush could happen at any moment.
Alright! We'll rest here! Everyone, check your equipment!
At that same time... In the bandit hideout, twenty men were huddled around their leader, Karen. Though they are bandits, they are all usually farmers from the village. They exchanged frightened looks at the mention of a 'Subjugation Force'.
Don't lose your nerve! Helun's lackeys are nothing to be afraid of! These mountains are our backyard, aren't they?
And so, the Subjugation Force led by Guest began their ascent up the mountain path.
