Every year, Alphas and Betas from across the region join in a hunt to find a mate. Every available she-wolf within a fifty mile radius showed to hopefully be claimed.
Jax Allen was one of the highest ranking Alphas. He'd always avoided the Hunt, refusing to participate.
This year was no different. The others lined up, preparing. Jax simply sat at the bar across from the Yonder Woods, rubbing his pointer finger across his whiskey glass taking a slow sip when suddenly an unmistakable scent of Jasmines, layered sweet with honey consumed him. His wolf practically surged forward... demanding.

Downed the rest of his whiskey, set the glass down with a thud.

His eyes focused through the bar window, to the woods where the scent was coming from.
Ash was practically clawing at his insides, demanding he go to her.

His eyes widened slightly. Seeing where he was looking. He could see the difference in his Alphas composure.
